The Clery Act is a federal law that requires the University to make every effort to provide a safe campus environment for its students. Under the Clery Act, the campus is required to identify Campus Security Authorities (CSAs).
The UC Merced Clery Coordinator is working with Divisional Partners to perform an in-depth review of staff positions across campus to ensure we have a complete and accurate CSA roster. As part of this effort, we evaluated job standards and Department of Education criteria.
To help with this process, we have created tools and resources that can assist with the CSA identification process and have scheduled workshops to provide additional support.
